Privacy Policy
This policy explains what GimHop collects, why we collect it and what we do with it. It applies to this website and to the day-pass service we operate with partner gyms.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the service:
- Contact details you give us when you join the early-access list or apply to become a partner gym — typically your name, email address, gym name, city and phone number.
- Booking details such as the gym you visit, the date of your visit and the time you check in, which we share with the partner gym so they can verify your pass.
- Payment status. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider, so we receive confirmation of a transaction rather than your full card number.
- Technical data such as your browser type and approximate location, collected to keep the service secure and to show you nearby gyms.
How we use it
- To provide day-pass access and check you in at the gym.
- To take payment and pay partner gyms their share.
- To contact you about your application, booking or account.
- To tell you when GimHop launches in your city.
- To prevent fraud and keep the service running.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary:
- The partner gym you booked, so they can verify your QR pass on arrival.
- Payment providers to process transactions and settle payouts to gyms.
- Service providers who host our website and deliver email, under strict confidentiality terms.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations. Booking records are retained for accounting and dispute purposes. If you ask us to delete your details, we will remove them unless we are required to keep them by law.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Delete your information.
- Stop you from receiving marketing email.
To make any of these requests, email us at [ADD YOUR EMAIL HERE].
Security
We use HTTPS to encrypt data in transit and keep personal information on access-controlled systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep improving our safeguards as the service grows.
Children
GimHop is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service develops. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
